Reese Witherspoon returns to her role of dippy lawyerette Elle Woods in this sequel to the 2001 fish-out-of-water law school farce. It's exactly what you'd think it would be: a fluffy pink affair in which Elle is out to prove herself to a new batch of marginally wicked characters. I'd like to be the first to suggest a spin-off series: Illegally Blonde, in which Pam Anderson or some other bleached-out fembot goes on a crime spree, killing every screenwriter in Hollywood with an arsenal of deadly hair products. Ah, to dream.
