Reviews:

''Cleansing'' is the fifth album by American heavy metal band Prong. It was produced by Terry Date, whereas all previous albums were produced by Mark Dodson. It features ex-Killing Joke members Paul Raven on bass and John Bechdel on keyboards/programming. ''Cleansing'' was Prong's only taste of moderate commercial success. It was reissued in 2008 as a digipack version.

The song "Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck" is arguably Prong's most well known; its music video was featured on an episode of ''Beavis and Butt-head''. Dry Kill Logic covered it on their ''Rot EP'', which was only available from Roadrunner Records metal radio mail list. Demon Hunter also covered "Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck" on their album, ''The Triptych''. Six Feet Under covered this song on their third cover album Graveyard Classics 3. Professional wrestler Justin Credible used the track as his entrance theme in Extreme Championship Wrestling and when performing in the independent promotions.

Perhaps not surprisingly, considering that ''Cleansing'' features former Killing Joke members, the song "Not of this Earth" bears a similar riff to "Madness," a track from Killing Joke's ''What's This For...!''.

In promotion of the album, Prong embarked on the Cleansing Tour which featured opening acts Clutch and Drown. - Wikipedia
