In August 1970 Maurice White signed the contract for Earth Wind & Fire, quickly followed by the first single and the first album of the same name in 1971. The rest is history, the band became one of the most successful and influential ever with their mix of R&B., soul, funk, jazz, disco, pop, rock, dance, Latin, Afro pop and their spectacular live performances has permanently changed black music. To celebrate this 50th anniversary and in memory of "maestro" Maurice White, this beautiful 5 CD box has been compiled with the complete chronological overview of all EWF highlights such as "Fantasy", "September", "Boogie Wonderland" and "Let's Groove" supplemented with material from the most recent albums and artists in which the band was in any way closely involved and in which the sound of EW&F is clearly audible such as with The Emotions, Deniece Williams, Deodato and Ramsey Lewis (for which Maurice White had once been a drummer) and the solo hits of Philip Bailey and Maurice White.
