The late Ally Makunguru's music is unique. Played on the acoustic/electric guitar, the songs are as varied as they are many. A product of Chikwala Chikwala, Kimbunga Stereo and Mlimani Park bands, Makunguru was a master instrumentalist and arranger. Evidence of his skills can further be heard on the CD - Nairobi City Ensemble. This is a welcome departure from the usual.
