Mahler: Ruckert-lieder; Kindertotenlieder; 6 Wunderhorn-lieder / Performer: Dietrich Henschel Orchestra/Ensemble: Hallé Orchestra Conductor: Kent Nagano. The recording is a bit close up, with lots of woodwind detail highlighted. But with Nagano's strict rhythms and careful balances, nothing sounds messy or overexposed. This is a very good CD of the shorter but superbly orchestrated Mahler songs.
