As far as major label "punk" goes, Green Day own the definitive left wing anti-war statement, American Idiot. Pittsburgh’s Anti-Flag have way more cred, despite their leap from pop-punk bastion Fat Wreck Chords to RCA, and just as many hooks. This is the second of A-F’s two-album deal with the major, and it’s poised to be their breakthrough. It certainly stands to be their most ambitious, if interviews promising orchestral swells and children’s choirs prove true.
